A Message From Chris McGimsey
Welcome to a New Frontier of Print Products.

Dear friends, I hope you enjoyed your celebration of our nations Independence.

I wanted to take the time to share with you developments at my place. I am pleased to announce many new offerings for my current and future customers.

We have added two new production-quality digital machines. They are identical Konica Minolta Bizhub 6500 digital copiers. These machines offer the highest quality digital production in the marketplace with the most variety of substrates and finishing. These are powered by CREO software for endless flexibility to handle the most unusual projects.

Secondly, we have upgraded our traditional prepress to the Fuji Sabre series Direct to Plate running Rampage software. All of our printing presses will benefit from all digital-metal plates and higher line screens.

Lastly, we have added a Promotional Products and Apparel division. If your company uses logo products or apparel, I would be interested in presenting our offerings that would complement your marketing plans.

All these changes translate into more product offerings with the same service you have to come to expect.

During the month of July you can try our new color digital copier free on up to 250 sheets. Just mention code (JulyP07) when you call.

Thanks for allowing me to share more about our company. Please let me know if I can assist your business in any way.
Sincerely,

Chris McGimsey

Color Talks… Are You Listening?

Next time you want to make a bold statement, try saying it with color!

Depending on what type of message or meaning you wish to convey, the color combinations you choose can support, emphasize, or contradict your message. Color stimulates the senses, symbolizes abstract concepts and thoughts, expresses fantasy or wish fulfillment, and produces an aesthetic or emotional response.

According to the Institute for Color Research, humans make a subconscious judgment about a person, environment, or item within 90 seconds of initial viewing, and the majority of that assessment is based on color alone. Because color delivers an instant impression that is generally understood universally, color is very important in conveying a mood or idea where verbiage is not used or understood.

The power of color combinations can also be seen on many levels of marketing communication, including corporate identification and logos, signage, television ads, billboards, print media and packaging, online web sites, and on point-of-purchase displays.

Here is a small sampling of dominant colors and the responses they elicit:

Red: Exciting, energizing, sexy, hot, dynamic, stimulating, provocative, aggressive, powerful
Bright Pink: Happy, attention-getting, youthful, spirited, fun, wild
Light Pink: Romantic, soft, sweet, tender, cute, babies
Orange: Fun, childlike, harvest, juicy, friendly, loud
Beige: Classic, sandy, earthy, natural, soft
Brown: Wholesome, warm, woodsy, rustic, durable, masculine
Purple: Royalty, powerful, expensive
Light Blue: Calm, quiet, peaceful, cool, water, clean
Bright Blue: Electric, vibrant, stirring, dramatic
Bright Yellow: Enlightening, sunshine, cheerful, friendly, energy, happy
Black: Powerful, elegant, mysterious, bold, classic, magical, nighttime
Silver: Classic, cool, money, valuable, futuristic
Gold: Warm, opulent, expensive, radiant, valuable, prestigious

Marketing Tips
Smart Steps to Networking Success

It’s not what you know... it’s who you know. That’s the mantra of many a successful networker. In his bestseller, The Little Red Book of Selling, Jeffrey Gitomer writes, “How important is networking? Real important. What can networking do for your relationships? Build them. What can networking do for your sales? Make them.” So how can you grow your network?

Start with a goal. Gitomer lays out seven key reasons to network:
  1. To get known by those who count
  2. To get more prospects
  3. To make more contacts
  4. To make more sales
  5. To build relationships
  6. To advance your career
  7. To building your reputation
All are excellent goals to keep in mind.

Consider it mandatory. Networking is not optional. It’s not something to do “when you find the time.” If you go at it with that kind of attitude, you won’t find the time... and you’ll miss out on some golden opportunities to grow your company.

Go where your customers and prospects will be. Chamber of Commerce events are a great starting point. Gitomer recommends becoming active with the local Chamber, attending functions and volunteering for committees. Networking clubs are another great resource for finding qualified contacts, as are civic and religious organizations.

The Little Red Book of Selling, by Jeffrey GitomerBecome active with a charity that means something to you. Join professional and trade groups. Attend local sporting and cultural events. The list goes on.

The Little Red Book of Selling
Networking is just one of many topics Gitomer covers in his Little Red Book of Selling. It’s a highly motivational... highly entertaining read.
